Big Song

Homeward bound was a man of dreams,
Dreaming of his love among the trees,
He dreamed of her running at him,
Giving him a hug and a kiss on the chin,

He dreamed of going with her to bed,
With no other fears in his head,
He dreamed of himslef going to the fields,
And sleeping in the noon below one of the trees,

He had been long gone from home,
To a warwith a country unknown,
He reached the shores and ran to his house,
To see another man with his spouse,

He raised his sword to strike at hime,
But his wife came bet'n the man and him,
She said while you were gone and there was none,
This man gave her protection,

Then he looked at this man and his face shone,
Like in the youger years had his own,
Then he realised what mistake he had done,
This man was no other than his son,

He turned to his wife whom he had wronged,
Told her sorry and took her in his arms,
And tried to feel as happy as he could,
But was sad cause he had missed his sons childhood,

He now turned to his son and bowed before him,
Asked his forgiveness and his son embraced him,
He felt sad for days and cried on his wife's shoulder,
What more can i say they lived happily ever after
